I’m sorry to ruin your day, but this has to be a sad post. Sergi Roberto’s mother, Maria Rosa, has passed away as she had been suffering from Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) for a long time.
I really don’t have many words to say. It’s one of those posts you don’t want to make, but you feel you just have to. Sergi, just as I said in the previous post, is an example to follow for everyone. For the La Masía boys that dream of succeeding at the Camp Nou, Sergi has taught them how to be patient no matter how much do they have to wait, no matter the adversity.
Offers from other clubs will always arrive, but there’s no place like home. And Sergi Roberto fought for his dream until accomplishing it. Away from the spotlight, he’s a hero without cape.
There certainly is no major setback for him than the loss of his mother, so I just want to send all my support to him and Maria Rosa’s family. May she rest in peace.
